My name is Maria Pilar Aguilera and I am a registered Marriage Celebrant. I am proudly bilingual and can conduct ceremonies in English, Spanish or both.
I believe that every wedding is absolutely unique and that your wedding day should reflect exactly what you want. It should be as simple or complex as you would like it to be.
A wedding is about celebration and sharing your story with family and friends. A wedding is the union between two committed adults who love each other.

The legal-only package completes all the legal requirements for marriage. It is ideal for couples who don’t want the fuss of a conventional wedding ceremony.
A deposit of $100 is payable once you have confirmed that I will be your celebrant and when you have signed the initial form (Notice of Intended Marriage). This deposit is part of the final total amount. The remaining amount is payable at least 1 week before the ceremony (or earlier).

Travel costs up to 60km travelling distance between the celebrant’s home in Coburg and place of marriage.
REFUND POLICY
The deposit is not refundable. The remaining amount is refundable if for some reason I am not able to solemnise the marriage on the arranged day or if written notice of cancellation of the marriage is received by me no less than 14 days before the arranged marriage date.

PRIMEROS PASOS LEGALES
Deben completar y firmar un documento inicial llamado Notice of Intended Marriage y esto lo pueden hacer de forma digital, firman el documento o imprimir y escanear. Este es un requisito legal acá en Australia. Se debe firmar minimo un mes antes de casarse. El documento se encuentra aqui:

Se llama Notice of Intended Marriage y deben completar solo las preguntas 1-16 en la página 3. Lo pueden firmar digitalmente en la pagina 4 en la primera linea donde dice Signature of Parties. El resto lo hago yo.
IDENTIFICACIÓN
Solo necesitan pasaportes o acta de nacimiento (uno a la otra). Si usan acta de nacimiento y está en español no es necesario traducir y deben mostrar su licencia también. (Esto se puede mostrar en el momento de firmar el documento).
Es toda la identificación que necesitan presentar. Esto siempre y cuando ninguno haya sido casado anteriormente y si es el caso deben mostrar evidencia de divorcio o viudez.
DIA DEL MATRIMONIO
El día del matrimonio necesitan dos testigos (uno cada uno). Los testigos no presentan identificación y solo deben ser mayor de 18 años (pueden ser turistas, australianos, amigos, familiares), solo necesito los nombres de los testigos. A partir de ese día están legalmente casados. Yo les daré un certificado de matrimonio oficial ese día.
Después del matrimonio yo envío todos los documentos a la oficina del Registro Civil y ellos tardan aproximadamente 30 días hábiles en registrar el matrimonio y enviarles un certificado oficial del Registro Civil a su dirección de domicilio. Este documento es el que usan para cualquier trámite donde deben comprobar que están casados. El matrimonio es legal a nivel internacional.
In order to get married in Australia, you must both complete and sign a Notice of Intended Marriage Form, often referred to as the NOIM.
The NOIM must be given to the authorised celebrant no earlier than 18 months and no later than one month before the date of the marriage. So you can sign it up to 18 months prior to your wedding date, but must be no later than one month prior. The Notice can now be signed digitally
Note: In response to Coronavirus a temporary change has been made to the Marriage Act 1961, to enable the signatures of the parties getting married on the Notice of Intended Marriage form (NOIM) to be witnessed remotely by an authorised person. This change has been made under the Coronavirus Economic Response Package (Modifications—Statutory Declarations and Notices of Intention to Marry) Determination 2021- external site and has been now extended until 31 December 2023.
Until 31 December 2023, an authorised witness may legally sign in the ‘Signature of witness box’ on page 4 of the NOIM, if they have observed the party signing the NOIM, whether or not by means of a facility that enables audio and visual communication between persons in different places. For example, this could include where the witness has observed the signature of the party through videoconferencing facilities such as Skype or Zoom. Such NOIMs signed and witnessed remotely during the specified period should be accepted despite the note on page 2 of the NOIM stating that the ‘Notice must be signed in the physical presence of an authorised witness’.
Both parties must produce evidence of date and place of birth and the end of any previous marriage (if applicable), they must show original documents a the time of signing.
A passport or birth certificate is sufficient as identification.
